Senate for passing historical health reform legislation.

APHA supports passing of healthcare reform legislation The American Public Health Association today applauded the U.S. Senate for passing historical health reform legislation. ‘Because of today’s Senate vote, we are one step nearer to bringing essential reform to your nation’s health program,’ said Georges C. Benjamin, MD, FACP, FACEP , executive director of the American Community Health Association. ‘The expenses will help reduce disability and death in the usa, lays the groundwork for potential strengthening of our health and wellness program and gets us nearer to our goal of universal health coverage.’ Furthermore, the measure addresses the core principles of health reform outlined by APHA: expanding usage of health insurance insurance coverage, reducing cost, improving quality and shifting toward something that promotes wellness and prevention.Zoledronic Acid and Clinical Fractures and Mortality after Hip Fracture.
